Numerology is a study of numbers in regard to a person's charachter and life plan. The structure of the universe and the essence of a person or object can be told by turning the letters of the name into numbers. By reducing names, words, birth dates and birthplaces to numbers, a person's personality, destiny and forutne may be determined.

Each number is a receptacle for cosmic vibrations, having its own characteristics and meanings. names and letters have their own energy field with a special vibratory rate that designates a certain function and can be put to practical use. In the Greek mysteries, the number 888 represented the "Higher Mind". The Greek variation of Jesus, Iosous, equals 888. The number 666 represented the "Mortal Mind". In the biblical New Testament 666 is call the number of "the beast".

In numerological diviination, all numbers reduce to nine roots between 1 and 9. Each number corresonds to a letter of the alphabet. To find the numerical value of a name, all the numbers of the letters are added together and reduced to a single digit; for example, if a name totals 45, it is reduced to 9 by adding 4+5. The numers 11, 22 and 33 are considered master numbers and are not reduced to single digits. People whose names correspond to these numbers are said to be highly developed spiritually. The number 33 is that of an avatar.
